Trong khi đang mơ màng với thiên nhiên hoa cỏ thì tiếng nước đổ vọng gần sẽ đưa du khách trở về thực tại, báo hiệu trước mặt là dòng thác Tiên huyền thoại. Mọi mệt mỏi dần tan biến theo mỗi bước qua thềm bậc giữa cánh rừng vầu rậm rạp. Trong màu xanh ngút ngàn của rừng già hoang sơ là dòng thác đôi trắng xóa.
Thác bắt nguồn từ suối Tả Ngán, xã Tả Củ Tỷ, Bắc Hà, Lào Cai ở độ cao trên 1.403m. Khi đến địa phận thôn Ngam Lâm, xã Nấm Dẩn, dòng nước thả mình qua vách núi Đèo Gió tạo thành dòng thác đôi như mái tóc dài mềm mại, buông lững lờ của thiếu nữ tuổi trăng tròn.

Đổ xuống từ độ cao 70 m giữa rừng già kỳ vĩ, thác Tiên không ầm ào, hung dữ mà mềm mại, réo rắt, mang đến bầu không khí mát lành nhờ những hạt nước li ti lan tỏa theo làn gió thổi quanh chân thác. Bởi thế thác Tiên ngoài tên gọi Táng Tinh (theo tiếng Nùng) còn được gọi là thác Gió.
Vẻ đẹp mềm mại, nhẹ nhàng của dòng nước thác Tiên dù đổ xuống từ vực cao 70 mét
Quanh năm dòng nước chẳng khi nào cạn, mùa mưa hay mùa khô đều êm ả nhẹ nhàng. Chẳng thế mà lao xuống từ trên vách núi nhưng mặt hồ nhỏ đón nước dưới chân thác chỉ gợn sóng lăn tăn. Đây chính là nơi đầu nguồn của con suối Tả Lán chảy về thôn Nấm Dẩn, nơi có bãi đá cổ nổi tiếng Hà Giang.
Nước suối dưới chân thác lặng, yên bình và trong vắt quanh năm, nhìn thấu tận đáy. Suối nông nhưng lạnh do nằm trên độ cao hơn 1.000 m so với mực nước biển, nên mùa hè có thể thoái mái lội suối vui đùa, còn mùa đông khách thường chỉ men theo lối nhỏ để dạo một vòng hoặc chụp ảnh trên cây cầu cong vắt ngang qua suối.
Thác nước hiện lên với tất cả vẻ đẹp hùng vĩ
Đứng dưới chân thác, giữa không gian rộng lớn, con người như nhỏ bé trước màu xanh của cánh rừng già nguyên sơ ôm lấy dòng nước bạc, ẩn hiện trong đó là những cây cổ thụ hàng trăm năm tuổi. Chẳng phân biệt đông hay hè, người lớn trẻ nhỏ khắp nơi vẫn tìm đến đây để tận hưởng thiên nhiên hoang sơ hùng vĩ và không khí trong lành, giúp người ta quên đi mọi ưu tư, sầu khổ.
Nếu có thời gian, bạn có thể xuôi dốc chừng 6 km nữa để đến tham quan Bãi đá cổ Nấm Dẩn nơi người Việt cổ sinh sống có niên đại trên 2.000 năm tuổi. Trải qua hàng nghìn năm, nhiều hoa văn, hình họa mang tính phồn thực ghi dấu ấn một thời xã hội Cổ đại mẫu hệ vẫn còn là điều bí ẩn, thu hút những người ưa khám phá.
